DT Challenge for Flatfriends "Special Sister"

Hi again, this is Flatfriends DT Challenge for December - White Card with a touch of colour. I love this card, it is so fresh looking. I used an A5 card, used a Spellbinders embossibilities folder using white cardstock, matted it on silver, tied an organza white ribbon around it  added white flowers with dew drops for the centres. Printed out one of Emma Cannings fabulous images, coloured it with promarkers added a little glitter and flower, cut her out and mounted her on foam pads and adhered her to the card. Also added a sentiment "Special Sister".  I think it would make a lovely Prom Card.

DT Challenge for Polkadoodles "Frosty"

Hi, this is Polkadoodles Wk 48 Challenge - Sketch for the International Design Team. I used an image and papers from the Pickmix No. 2 CD Rom from Polkadoodles. Backed the paper on red cardstock, made a rectangle with the backing paper and cardstock, cut an oval, embossed it in a dotty embossing folder, distressed the edge. Tied gingham snowflake ribbon around the card added a snowflake and sentiment. Cute eh?

Card No. 2 - Polkadoodles Design Team Challenge

So I made Card No. 2 when I received some lovely downloads from Nikky Hall to say Welcome to the Team! The backing paper and images are from the Pickmix 2 CD Rom. I printed out the backing paper and matted it on black card. Then resized the button, punched the holes out in the middle of the button and threaded some brown satin ribbon through the holes and then cut out 4 circles and put them over the button holes and then backed it in black. Printed out the cute gingerbread couple, holly and sentiment and then added a few dew drops for the holly berries.

My First Design Team Challenge Cards for Polkadoodles

This was my first card I created for the Design Team Challenge. I used the Pretty Tuff CD Rom from Polkadoodles using the Casey image and the footballs from the embellishments. Dowloaded the background paper from the Candy Doodles CD Rom in the Candy Floss section. Matted and layered the backing paper with a piece of gree card from my crafty stash, cut a Spellbinders decorative circle out of the green and then embossed it with my dotty folder. Added a sentiment from one of my other Polkadoodles CD Rom (can't remember which one now). So there it is!

Flatfriends DT November Challenge

Hi there folks! It has been a while since I posted.  October was crazy for me! Moved house! Anyway, back to normal now and my craft room is looking good and very workable! So here is my November Challenge card for Flatfriends Design Team. The challenge was using Spots and Stripes, which are my favourite combination! So using papers printed from the Paper & Pen issue No. 2 from Polkadoodles CD and using my new Spellbinders die, cut a frame, edged it with some ink. Coloured my Emma Canning image with Promarkers, added a little glitter and liquid accents to the ballons.  Finishing it off with a polka dot bow and another swirly Spellbinder die. I love the colours.  I think it turned out quite well. Hope you like it.

Emma Canning's October Challenge

So today is the 1st October 2012 and we launch our Design Team cards on Emma Canning's Blog.
So I thought I would put that one on here also.  I love Emma's digi designs, they are so versatile and I love colouring them in. October's challenge was Tic Tac Toe and I chose the diagonal option of Pinks, Dies and Sentiment. Here is my "I'm Sorry" card. Hope you like it!

Wedding Card

Hello, I hope everyone had a great weekend.  They go to fast for my liking!
Today I have made a very quick Wedding Card for a colleague at work. But I think it is quite classy!
I used Pearlescent Card stock in cream for the card base. Embossed a dotty design on the same card stock and matted it on gold. Die cut a butterfly and swirly leaf and a label, then added a sentiment and bow. Voila!

Emma Canning's Image

This card has a winter them "Let it Snow". I used one of Emma's digi images, coloured with Promarkers. I matted it on torn white textured paper and then on blue dotty. Cut out some snowflakes from my Spellbinder's dies, inked them with distress inks and added a sentiment.

Thanksgiving

I thought I would make some Thanksgiving Cards for my American Customers that come
into the Brit Shop, where I work on the base we are stationed in Germany. This card has been
made with the Spellbinder's Lattice die and Close to My Heart Stamps.

Spellbinder Butterflies

I received my new Spellbinder dies in the post yesterday and thought I would have a play with the
new background Botanical Swirls die.  It took me a few attempts to get it right! Definitely need to use
greaseproof/wax paper and put it through the Grand Calibur a couple of times to cut it all the way
through. You have to trim all around the edge to release the die cut portions. I then matted it on some shinning brown cardstock, from my crafty stash! Again matted on some turquoise cardstock and then
mounted it on to a light turquoise card 5 x 7".  Die cut two sets of butterflies in brown and turquoise using the brown embossed butterflies at the bottom and turquoise ones on the top, added some pearls,
made a bow using brown organzer ribbon and die cut a label and stamped a sentiment and added some more pearls. Voila!

Joanna Sheen Blog Challenge - Dotty for you
Crafters Companion Blog Challenge - September - Gold
I thought I would enter this card as it is mainly gold. I love these
Spellbinder dies.

Now this card is made with an image from Jane Shasky's CD rom, one of Joanna Sheen's creations.
Then mounted onto turquoise card stock. Put four brads in each of the corners. Embossed two A6 sheets of white textured cardstock with a Tim Holtz embossing folder (wood effect), but them into strips to give a garden gate effect. Distressed the pieces with Pumice Stone distressing ink pad, adhered to more turquoise cardstock and mounted onto an A5 card. Cut one swirly leaf die, cut in half and put behind the main image. Joanna Sheen sent me an email and said she loved it!

Polkadoodle Dandies August Challenge

This is my first entry to Polkadoodle Dandies monthly challenge. The image is from
Emma Canning, purchased from Polkadoodle Dandies web site. It has been coloured
with Flex/promarkers. I used the knitted effect paper from my crafty stash. I also used
my Spellbinders dies for the tree and the snowflakes. I faux stitched around the card
backing of the tree and backed it with mulberry paper. I accented the tree with dew drops
and a stripey bow.

Spellbinders in Cream

Hi, its Tuesday and I am waiting anxiously for 9.00 pm when Ideal World air their Spellbinders Pick of the Day show.  I love watching Sue Wilson doing her demos.  She has given so much inspiration over the last few months, I am using my Grand Calibur so much more now.  The dies give my cards a more professional look.  I have made three Christmas Cards using the Christmas dies and using cream cardstock with co-ordinating colours.

Spellbinders White Christmas

Hi, I have just opened my blog today and very apprehensive as to whether I am doing it right or not.
So here goes.  I thought I would share my newest creations using Spellbinder dies. If you would like to know how I made them, please do not hesitate to ask.  I sent a photo of them to Sue Wilson, who is, in my opinion, the Queen of Spellbinders! and she said that she loved them! Yay!

I hope you like them too x
